Fitness Quest 10 raises funds at Curebound
A team from Fitness Quest 10, a gym in Scripps Ranch led by resident Jeff Bristol, has raised more than $270,000 for cancer research through its participation in the Curebound Cancer Challenge in San Diego for the past four years. This year’s team was ranked number 4 overall among top corporate fundraising teams this year. The event was held Aug. 2 at UC San Diego’s athletic complex at RIMAC Field.
Fitness Quest 10 first joined the Curebound Cancer Challenge (formerly Padres Pedal the Cause) in 2022 and has since become one of the event’s most impactful corporate teams. Year after year, their teammates walk, run, cycle and spin, raising critical funds for collaborative cancer research. Their enthusiasm, energy, and team spirit have made them a recognizable force at the event, not just for their numbers, but for their heartfelt connection to the cause.
In just four years, Fitness Quest 10’s team has raised an astounding $274,762 with the participation of more than 300 teammates. This achievement reflects not only their dedication to fitness, but also their unwavering belief in supporting research that will create better outcomes for patients and families in San Diego.
Beyond the event, Fitness Quest 10 supports everyone affected by cancer – not just through fundraising, but by rallying around individuals personally touched by the disease. In this year’s Challenge, the team dedicated its efforts to Joseph P., a beloved gym community member battling stage-4 lung cancer, proving that their fight is both personal and collective.
