About the Schools section

Scripps Ranch News intends to place a large amount of emphasis on coverage of local schools and education since Scripps Ranch is such a family-oriented location centered around the community’s many schools.

The Schools section was designed to showcase the outstanding accomplishments of this community’s wonderful students as well as the faculty and staff that make a Scripps Ranch education such a good experience. In addition, Scripps Ranch News intends to feature the numerous volunteers who help in the classrooms, chaperone field trips, help with fundraisers, produce special events and organize other volunteers. We especially want to feature each of the principals and each of the parent-teacher organization presidents.

Yes, the Scripps Ranch News Schools section will also inform parents about the many school activities, and also highlight the events in review, complete with photos. But we realize each school already has its own network of websites, e-mail lists and social media pages to inform parents. Scripps Ranch News can be utilized to take communications a step further. Besides expanding each school’s informational network, Scripps Ranch News provides a platform for interschool communication and beyond. It provides a way to showcase each school to the entire community. Think of Scripps Ranch News as the community’s all-inclusive, far-reaching newspaper with infinite range. If your student is featured in Scripps Ranch News, he or she gains community-wide recognition.
