Attempted robbery at nearby Pizza Hut
The San Diego Police Department is investigating an attempted robbery that took place on Wednesday, Aug. 15 at about 10:30 p.m. at the Pizza Hut at 9906 Mira Mesa Blvd.
A man entered the Pizza Hut, walked up to the counter and pulled out a black handgun. When he demanded money from the register, an employee told the robber that he was not able to open the register without the help of his manager. The would-be robber walked out without any cash.
The robbery suspect is described as a Hispanic man with a mustache in his 40s; about 5-foot, 10-inches tall, 150 to 160 pounds, wearing a black jacket, orange backpack and a baseball cap.
