On Friday, Dec. 15, visit the Scripps Ranch Rubio’s at the corner of Scripps Poway Parkway and Spring Canyon Road (next to Sammy’s) to support the Marshall Middle School Instrumental Music program. Present this flyer to the cashier when ordering between 2 and 9 p.m., and the Instrumental Music program will receive 20 percent of the cost of your meal.
Sushi and sake at Sanctuary
Sake tasters from Setting Sun Sake Brewing Co. will be handed out from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15 at Sanctuary Lounge. In addition, guests can enjoy fresh sushi from Matua’s Sushi Bar & Islander Grill. The crowd can enjoy the beautiful sounds of Keni Yarbro while everyone enjoys their refreshments.
On Saturday, Dec. 16, the crowd at Sanctuary Lounge can enjoy samples of Beam Black and Beam Double Barrel served by Jim Beam girls from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

‘Shop Local’ Holiday Soiree
Xtend Barre Scripps Poway, along with Pastel Bakery, will hold a Shop Local Holiday Soiree from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. this Saturday, Dec. 16, at the shopping center on the corner of Scripps Poway Parkway and Pomerado Road. Several local businesses will attend, offering their goods and services: Pineapple Grip Socks, Plexus, SDIM, Jamberry Nails, LipSense, Rodan+Fields, MONAT, Young Living Essential Oils, Dermalogica, Nu Skin Teeth Whitening and more.
Holiday Concert and Party
The Scripps Ranch Civic Association is throwing a Holiday Concert and Party on Saturday, Dec. 16, from 1:30 to 5 p.m. at the Scripps Miramar Ranch Library, 10301 Scripps Lake Drive. A free concert will be held from 1:30 to 3 p.m. featuring Bella Voci of Scripps Ranch, a women’s a cappella performance group; pianist John Evans; and holiday sing-a-longs. Live music from 3 to 5 p.m. will include the Scripps Ranch Blues and Folk Group, and the Scripps Ranch Rock and Blues Band. There will also be food, refreshments and drawings. Guests are asked to bring a new, unwrapped children’s book or game to donate to the Rady Children’s Hospital Auxiliary Scripps Ranch Unit.
Scripps Ranch Farmer’s Market
The Scripps Ranch Farmers Market offers a wide variety of vendors each Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at 10380 Spring Canyon Road, in the Innovations Academy parking lot.
Browse among the booths with a selection of food, services, produce and merchandise. Grab something to eat, sit down and enjoy live music in the food court. Very family-friendly. Visit srfm.org.
Victory at Sea Day
Sunday, Dec. 17, marks the annual return of Ballast Point’s Victory at Sea Day featuring more than 18 Victory at Sea Day variations. Events at Unleashed
Bring your pet to Unleashed to have a photo taken with Santa between 1 and 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16. Watch your favorite Petco store partners transform into Santa and have your pet strike a pose to receive a digital portrait. The total amount of your $9.95 donation will benefit local homeless pets in your community through the Petco Foundation.
On Sunday, Dec. 17, Unleashed will host an Affordable Vaccination Clinic for pet owners from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. State-licensed veterinarians will be on hand to help keep your pet healthy. Services provided will include vaccinations, microchipping, heartworm test and prevention, deworming, flea and tick control. All will be offered for a low cost.
