Santa & Mrs. Claus visit Scripps Ranch
Everyone knows Santa Claus visited Scripps Ranch to deliver gifts early Christmas morning, but many kids know that Santa and Mrs. Claus made a special visit to the Scripps Ranch Farmer’s Market on Saturday morning, Dec. 23.
The famous couple from the North Pole left the sleigh at home, choosing to drive a pickup truck to the market instead, unloading Santa’s special chair so he could sit while visiting with local children.
There was much excitement in the air as Santa and Mrs. Claus made their way into the market and set up to listen to Christmas gift wishes from the kids in the crowd. One-by-one, each was given special attention as they whispered in Santa’s ear.

Other highlights on this special day at the market included a raffle for a new kid’s bike, pony rides, a Jumpee with a slide, live Christmas music, free crafts and a special holiday treasure hunt.
The Scripps Ranch Farmers Market offers a wide variety of vendors on Saturdays at 10380 Spring Canyon Road, in the Innovations Academy parking lot. Next Saturday, Dec. 30, the Scripps Ranch Farmer’s Market will be closed so vendors will be able to spend holiday time with their families. It will re-open on Saturday, Jan. 6 with new hours: 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Visit srfm.org.
