Water polo team advances to CIF
The Scripps Ranch High School varsity girls water polo team advanced to the CIF post-season tournament by defeating University City High School 8-7 in a very close match on Jan. 30. It might not be the last time these two teams face off this season.
Scripps Ranch, seeded fifth, is now scheduled to play 12th-seeded Bonita Vista at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 5 at Miramar College in the 2018-19 CIF San Diego Section Girls Water Polo Division I Championship Tournament. If the Lady Falcons win, the team will face fourth-seeded University City again at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9. University City High has a first round bye.
