Pop Warner 14U wins championship
The Scripps Ranch Pop Warner 14U football team defeated San Marcos 20-0 in the championship game at La Costa Canyon on Nov. 2.
A large contingent of Scripps Ranch fans cheered the underdog Falcons as the players avenged their only loss this season against the same team that beat them earlier 20-8. It was a sweet championship victory for the team, parents, cheerleaders and family members as well as the entire Scripps Ranch Pop Warner Football and Cheer Association.
The Scripps Ranch 14U football team defeated Vista 18-8 on Oct. 26 to earn its place in the championship game.
