Poway Symphony performs May 29
The Poway Symphony Orchestra’s 65-member strong orchestra will perform a number of classical favorites in a program titled “A Spanish Festival” on Sunday, May 29 at 4 p.m. in the Poway Center for the Performing Arts, 15498 Espola Road.
The concert will begin with Suites No. 1 and 2 from “L’Arlésienne” by Georges Bizet. The orchestra will then be joined by guest artist and guitarist Fred Benedetti for the performance of the “Fantasia para un gentilhombre” by Joaquin Rodrigo. The concert will conclude with the sparkling “España” by Emmanuel Chabrier.
The semi-professional orchestra will perform under the baton of Music Director and Conductor John LoPiccolo.
