Going Native

Guest speaker Jeanie Anderson will share photos of the planning and executing of her dead front yard into native plants that bring back wildlife. Anderson is a former president of the San Diego Turtle and Tortoise Society and has led countless interpretive hikes as a board member of the Penasquitos Preserve. She also led Christmas bird counts for the past 17 years and knows the impact climate change has had on local birds. Her presentation will be held Aug. 6, 2 p.m. in the Community Room of the Scripps Miramar Ranch Library, 10301 Scripps Lake Drive.
