Pet of the Week: Rufus

Rufus is a 5-year-old American pit bull terrier looking for a home. He is a goofy boy with a winning personality. He is happy-go-lucky and friendly! Rufus just wants to PLAY! Due to Rufus’ bouncy nature and thick frame, we think he’d do best in a home with children over the age of 6. He pulls a bit on the leash so he would need a strong handler and someone to teach him to stop and smell the roses on his walks. If you find Rufus’ zest for life irresistible, then please call today.

His adoption fee includes his neuter, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, a certificate for a free veterinary exam, waived enrollment fee for medical insurance from PetFirst and a license for residents in the city limits of Carlsbad, Del Mar, Encinitas, Escondido, Imperial Beach, Oceanside, Poway, San Diego, San Marcos, Santee, Solana Beach and Vista.

Rufus is available for adoption at San Diego Humane Society’s San Diego Campus at 5500 Gaines St. To learn more about making him part of your family, call (619) 299-7012.
