Pet of the Week: Sandy

Meet Sandy, a 5-year-old husky looking for a new home to call her own. Even though Sandy can be nervous in new situations, staff have watched her blossom into such a delightful lady.

Her new family will need to be patient as she opens up on her own terms. She enjoys being pet and brushed, which is a good thing because huskies shed a lot. If you’re looking for an energetic adventure buddy and know a thing or two about dog behavior, make an appointment to talk to an adoption counselor at sdhumane.org/adopt.

Her adoption fee includes her spay, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, a certificate for a free veterinary exam, an incentive for pet insurance from MetLife and a license for residence in the city limits of Carlsbad, Del Mar, Encinitas, Escondido, Imperial Beach, Oceanside, Poway, San Diego, San Marcos, Santee, Solana Beach or Vista.

Sandy is available for adoption at San Diego Humane Society’s Oceanside Campus, 2905 San Luis Rey Road. To learn more about making her part of your family, call (619) 299-7012.
