FESTIVE FUN

A happy crowd enjoyed all the festivities during the annual Scripps Ranch Tree Lighting ceremony held this year at Hoyt Park on Dec. 3. The Girl Scouts from Troop 3817 were able to earn their Bronze Award by hosting this event. The activities included a bake sale, hot cocoa, crafts and a holiday sing-along. Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts who donated a toy for the Toys for Tots toy drive received a special patch. Artificial snow and a visit from Santa Claus highlighted the festivities. Ride Above Disability Therapeutic Riding Center brought cute “reindeer” donkeys for the enjoyment of the children.
