SRHS baseball season comes to a close
The Scripps Ranch High School (SRHS) varsity baseball team made it all the way to fourth round of the 2024 CIF San Diego Section Baseball Division 2 Championships before being eliminated 4-8 by Maranatha Christian on May 18.
The Falcons began the postseason tournament with a 3-2 victory over Mt. Carmel High in the first round on May 14. But SRHS was defeated by 3-2 by Point Loma High in the second round on May 15.
The Falcons came back to win against Coronado High 7-6 in the third round on May 17. This game went back and forth with SRHS ultimately prevailing in 10 innings. Nathan Bamford scored the winning run for the Falcons as a pinch runner.
SRHS then ran into Maranatha Christian in the fourth round.
