Family business holds Chinese New Year event
Longtime Scripps Ranch residents Bill and Cynthia Collins, along with their family, provided a Chinese New Year celebration for the public at their business, Collins Family Jewelers, 8220-A Mira Mesa Blvd., on Feb. 1. Performers donned colorful lion costumes and danced in front of the store and through the enthusiastic crowd, while drummers pounded the rhythm. The public enjoyed the celebration welcoming the Year of the Snake.
