Scripps Ranch Little League (SRLL) all-star teams were having successful post-season tournament runs as of press time, with the Major All-Stars (10-12) being crowned District 32 Champions.

The 8-10 All-Stars also had a thrilling postseason run through the District 32 tournament which included victories over Rancho Peñasquitos, University City and the Clairemont Hilltoppers.

The 9-11 All-Stars earned memorable wins against teams like University City Little League; and the 9U red team won the gold bracket of the 9U Future Stars Division in the Summer Classic tournament, beating Point Loma in the final 8-6 on June 15.

“We’ve got very competitive teams this year with several having the capability of making deep tournament runs,” said SRLL President Ron Madrid.

The Scripps Ranch Little League Intermediate Division 50/70 All-Stars won the 2026 Section 6 Championship to advance to the Southern California State Tournament at Jahnz Field in San Bernardino after defeating Encinitas National from District 31 by a score of 17-9. This gave Scripps Ranch, which represented District 32, the opportunity to play on July 10 versus Newmark Little League from District 43. SRLL continued advancing in the competition versus Rancho de Oro Little League from District 41 after a 15-2 win with the mercy rule being called after five innings.

“This is a special group of good kids, and they have been playing together for a long time,” said head coach Mike Jones. “I think when you see them play you can tell that they care about each other and they are friends on top of being good baseball players.”

This is Jones’ first year as head coach after serving several seasons as an assistant.

Scripps Ranch Little League made it to the Intermediate 50/70 Little League World Series in both 2018 and 2024. On both occasions, the Scripps Ranch Little League Intermediate All-Star teams won the West Region Championships to secure their berths in the tournament which was held in Livermore, California.

“They have exceeded our expectations having a lot of success on the field,” Jones said. “The biggest thing is that they are playing the right way, and I just praise their effort. The coolest thing is that they play as a team and care for one another. It shows on the field.”
