New school year begins Aug. 10
Public schools in Scripps Ranch – and all schools in the San Diego Unified School District – will begin the 2026-27 school year on Monday, Aug. 10.
Parents may learn class starting and ending times plus specific details about their schools in Scripps Ranch by viewing each school’s website or checking school Facebook pages or parent-guardian social media pages for their student’s school.
As students begin the new school year on Aug. 10, they won’t have a district-wide holiday break to look forward to until Labor Day on Sept. 7. San Diego Unified School District does not have another scheduled district-wide break for the rest of September.

Front office summer hours:
July 20-24, open from 8 a.m. to noon. Beginning July 27, normal hours resume, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Kick Off is a set of days in which students may obtain student IDs, books, etc. Wednesday, July 29, is set aside for ninth and 10th grade students. Thursday, July 30, is set aside for 11th and 12th grade students.
