Library update from the SR Friends of the Library

Construction and closure update: The Scripps Miramar Ranch Library continues its temporary closure for maintenance work. Replacement of the library’s roof is reported to be progressing well and may be completed within the next couple of weeks. The new HVAC system installation is reportedly also moving along. However, the planned concurrent resumption of work on the parking lot expansion has been another story. The library is expected to be closed for several additional months, and, if all goes smoothly, the library should reopen sometime during the coming winter.

Book donation options: As a reminder, during the time the library and Grace’s Book Nook are closed and unable to accept donations of books. It would be much appreciated if you could hold off on donating your gently used books and media until the library reopens.

Accessing library services: While the library is closed, books and other materials can be returned to the Mira Mesa Branch Library or to any library in the San Diego Public Library System.
