Volleyball team falls in heartbreaking loss

The Scripps Ranch High School (SRHS) womens volleyball team was defeated by Cypress High School in a heartbreaking loss Nov. 13 in a CIF State Division 2 quarterfinal playoff match. SRHS won the first two sets and had good leads in the final two sets, however the visiting Falcons were unable to secure the win.

While the loss eliminated the team from the State tournament, SRHS enjoyed another successful season. SRHS was victorious against St. Margaret’s High on Nov. 11 in the first round of the CIF State Division 2 playoffs, allowing the team to advance to the next bracket. The team also captured the 2025 CIF-SDS Girls Volleyball Championship Division 1 on Nov. 7 with a victory against Carlsbad High.
