By Scripps Ranch Friends of the Library
Grace’s Book Nook
Grace’s Book Nook, the hidden gem of a used bookstore in the Scripps Miramar Ranch Library, is open for your shopping pleasure Tuesdays through Saturdays during library hours. In addition to a variety of books for all ages and tastes, the Book Nook also stocks CDs, DVDs, audiobooks, greeting cards – including a nice selection of Christmas cards – magazines, calendars and more! You’ll find many books in giftable condition, making the Book Nook the perfect place to find stocking stuffers. The Book Nook also stocks antiquarian and vintage books, including collectors’ editions, which can make unique gifts for the book lover on your list.
Did anyone say, “duck food?” Kids and those young at heart love the special floating waterfowl food as do the resident and migratory ducks and their cousins who live at adjacent Evans Pond.
Don’t miss the upcoming Second Saturday sale at the Book Nook, scheduled for Dec. 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Finally, your tax-deductible donations of gently used books and media are always welcome! Fiction, CDs and DVDs are currently in particular demand, but books for all ages and most all genres would be very much appreciated. All donations help support the library you love.

This storytime is perfect for families who speak English, Spanish or both – or anyone who wants to introduce their little ones to a second language in a welcoming and inclusive setting. Appropriate for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. ¡Ven a leer, cantar y disfrutar con nosotros!
