Falcons ready for quarterfinal game
The Scripps Ranch High School varsity football team will enter the quarterfinal round of the 2021 CIF-SDS Football Division 2 Championships at home with a game against Central Union High from El Centro with a 7 p.m. start on Friday, Nov. 12.
The Falcons are the second seed and bring a record of 8-1 to the tournament. The team earned a bye in the first round. The Central Union High Spartans are seeded 10th. Central defeated Otay Ranch 33-28 on Nov. 5 in the first round to advance to the quarterfinal bracket and the opportunity to face Scripps Ranch.
