Falcons soar into Semifinal game
The Scripps Ranch High School (SRHS) mens basketball team will face fourth-seeded El Camino High School in the Semifinals of the 2024 CIF San Diego Section Boys Basketball Championships Division 1 in an away game on Feb. 21 at 7 p.m.
The eighth-seeded Falcons reached the Semifinals by defeating first-seed Santa Fe Christian 60-51 in a huge Quarterfinal victory on Feb. 17. SRHS held Santa Fe Christian to only 11 points in the first half.
Before that, SRHS beat ninth-seeded Francis Parker High School 64-62 in overtime in the first round on Feb. 14. SRHS fell behind very early, but tied the game with about 4 minutes remaining. SRHS was up by four points with 13 seconds left, yet Francis Parker was able to force overtime, only to fall to the Falcons during the overtime period.
