The Scripps Ranch High School (SRHS) womens cross country team captured the CIF-San Diego Section Division 2 Championship Nov. 12 at Morley Field in Balboa Park.
This is the first time the womens team has won the title since about 1996-97. Five of the runners were in the top 20, three of them in the top 10. The team will compete at State later this month.
Oliver Cannon and Ken Belt qualified for the State Championships for the SRHS mens cross country team.
