LEMONADE STAND CONTEST
These photos of adorable Scripps Ranch children were submitted for the 2023 Scripps Ranch News Lemonade Stand Contest. This year’s winners are Sophia and Nathaniel Chiang, earning a delivery of delicious cookies from Sweet Treats by Jess Bakery. A big thanks goes out to everyone who participated!

(photo by Eric Hagan )Evan Mandalia, Hunter Williams and Maci Mandalia set up their lemonade stand all by themselves, including hand-picking the lemons off the tree. After visiting Maui and witnessing the wildfire devastation first hand, some neighborhood children put on a ”Lemonade for Lahaina” fundraiser selling homemade lemonade, “Surfs up sugar cookies” and “Beach Bum Brookies.” Over 30 pounds of lemons were squeezed, 12 dozen sugar cookies were baked and two dozen Brookies were made. The amazing Scripps Ranch community showed incredible support to help those dealing with that aftermath. Together, they raised $2,550!
