Old Pros Scholarship Program is underway
For decades, the Scripps Ranch Old Pros have been a fixture in the community, championing youth athletics, education and local organizations through volunteerism and charitable giving. Today, that commitment is advanced by the Scripps Ranch Old Pros Foundation, which oversees fundraising to further the Scripps Ranch Old Pros’ mission of promoting and sponsoring student-athletes, educational opportunities and community-focused initiatives throughout Scripps Ranch.
Funding for the Scripps Ranch Old Pros Scholarships and donations to youth and high school sports is made possible through the generous support of Old Pros members and charitable contributions from the community, including those who walk, run and ride during the annual Scripps Ranch Old Pros Fourth of July Run and Ride Race. Through these efforts, the Scripps Ranch Old Pros continue to make a direct and positive impact on students and families throughout Scripps Ranch.
The Scripps Ranch Old Pros Scholarship Program is designed to provide financial grants to college-bound high school seniors who live within the 92131 ZIP Code. Scholarships are awarded to qualified applicants who have demonstrated strong character, participation in school or community activities, and a commitment to personal growth through athletics. Academic performance and athletic achievement are fundamental to the selection process, and the program also places emphasis on leadership, service, responsibility, teamwork and sportsmanship – values that reflect the mission and history of the Scripps Ranch Old Pros organization.
Scholarship applications are now available on the Scripps Ranch Old Pros website at srop.org and are open to eligible students graduating high school during the 2025-2026 academic year. Recipients are selected by the Scripps Ranch Old Pros Scholarship Committee in coordination with local high school counseling offices, with awards announced at high school and community scholarship ceremonies. Scholarship applications are due by April 15, 2026.
