SRHS runners take on Mt. SAC course
Several crosscountry runners from Scripps Ranch High School (SRHS) participated in the 76th annual Mt. SAC Invitational on Oct. 26 at Mt. San Antonio College and Hilmer Lodge Stadium in Walnut, Calif.
The SRHS women placed ninth overall in the Division 1 and Division 2 Sweepstakes 3-mile race. This placed them third for Division 2. The Sweepstakes race is the best of the best.
The SRHS male runners placed sixth overall in the Division 1 and Division 2 varsity 3-mile race.
The invitational is often referred to as “The World’s Largest Cross Country Invitational.” The event attracts a large, competitive field and is a staple in the cross-country season. The course is a benchmark for all athletes due to the demanding course that tests the endurance and strength of all runners.
