SRHS track and field team makes its mark
The Scripps Ranch High School track and field team was among 47 teams competing in the UC Classic meet on April 4 and came away with impressive results.
Here are some of the notable accomplishments by Falcons athletes:
- Senior Ryan Stadtherr placed 5th in 400m Boys Open division
- Freshman Vinish Bosco Silvester placed 3rd in 400m Boys Freshman division
- Junior John Melancon placed 4th in 400m Boys Invite division
- Sophomore Nico Cruz placed 1st in 800m Boys Sophomore division
- Junior Jada Kim placed 3rd in 800m Girls Invite division
- Freshman Olivia Liu placed 1st in 1600m Girls Freshman division
- Sophomore Liam O’Connell placed 1st in 1600m Boys Sophomore division
- Sophomore Devin Liles placed 2nd in 1600m Boys Sophomore division
- Senior Ally Van Duren placed 4th in 3200m Girls Open division
- Junior Benjamin Stephens placed 2nd in 3200m Boys Open division
- Junior Brandon Sun placed 3rd in 3200m Boys Open division
- Junior Nathan Bamford placed 4th in 3200m Boys Open division
- 4x100m relay team placed 3rd in Boys Freshman division (Vinish Bosco Silvester, Kosal Siem, Asher Sturch, Evan Hill)
- 4x400m relay team placed 2nd in Girls Open division (Jada Kim, Olivia Liu, Addy Richardson, Ellie Cannon)
- 4x100m relay team placed 4th in Boys Sophomore Division (Parker Armstrong, Payton Maiorano, Medex Paniagua, Takumi Petropulos)
- 4x200m relay team placed 5th in Boys Open division (Nicholas Cheng, Malachi Johnson, Malachi Sayles, Rex Theilacker)
- 4x400m relay team placed 1st in Boys Open division (Nico Cruz, Markell Martin, Ryan Stadtherr, John Melancon)
- Sophomore Slater Burgess placed 1st in Boys 12lb Shot Put Sophomore division
