The Hub at SR begins leasing

Leasing has commenced at Sudberry Properties’ new mixed-use apartment community, The Hub at Scripps Ranch, located on Carroll Canyon Road, just east of Interstate 15.

Sudberry Properties opened the leasing center at The Hub at Scripps Ranch, a mixed-use redevelopment project featuring 260 modern luxury apartments with amenities and 10,700 square feet of retail/restaurant space.

The 9.52-acre property is located at the gateway to Scripps Ranch at 9840 Carroll Canyon Road, just east of Interstate 15.

Construction is nearing completion. Apartment residents in the initial phases have started moving in.

“The Hub at Scripps Ranch offers modern, resort living with urban-style architecture unique to Scripps Ranch,” said Colton Sudberry, president of Sudberry Properties.

The amenity package includes a pool and outdoor lounge area with a Jacuzzi, barbecues and a fire feature; a 2,053-square-foot fitness center; a club lounge with demonstration kitchen; a game room and a media screening room.

“The Hub is ideally located next to the Scripps Ranch Business Center with easy access to Lake Miramar and its 5-mile walking and biking trail, Scripps Miramar Ranch Library, Miramar College, Scripps Ranch High School, Miramar Ranch Elementary, and extensive shopping,” Sudberry said.

The Hub features one- to three-bedroom apartments, ranging from 614 to 1,391 square feet, with rents starting at $2,600 per month.  Interior amenities include private patios or balconies (most locations), 9-foot ceilings, hardwood-style flooring in main areas, carpeting in bedrooms, fully equipped kitchens with GE Energy Star® stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, and full-size washers and dryers. The smoke-free apartment community is pet-friendly, with some breed restrictions in place. 

The Hub at Scripps Ranch will include three- and four-story residential buildings and a leasing center with a terrace overlooking the outdoor recreation space. All four-story buildings have elevators, and some apartments have direct-access garages.

Leasing is nearly complete for the retail spaces, which feature high visibility along Carroll Canyon Road. The 2,061-square-foot Starbucks has opened. Additional tenants, including Pacific Dental Services and Big Cheech’s Chicken N’ Waffles and Sliders, are scheduled to open in 2022.

Sudberry Properties’ development team for The Hub includes MVE Architecture, Reylenn Construction Company, Inc., general contractor, Pasco Laret Suiter & Associates (PLSA), civil engineering and land planning, GroundLevel Landscape Architecture, and Design Tec, Inc., interior design. Matt Mosser of Retail Insite is responsible for retail leasing. Sudberry Properties will provide property management for The Hub.

San Diego history buffs will remember that the site of The Hub at Scripps Ranch was previously the San Diego-based PSA (Pacific Southwest Airlines) Reservations Center and Flight Training Center.
