Track and field team flies at championships
Competitors from the Scripps Ranch High School track and field team made their presence felt at the CIF San Diego Track and Field Championship on May 18.
Two athletes from the SRHS team qualified for the CIF State Championship this upcoming weekend at Clovis, Calif.: Sophomore Nathan Bamford won the 1,600m race with a personal record time of 4:18:01. Merrick Stroschine achieved the state qualification pole vault height of 15 feet.
