Water polo team closing out season
The Scripps Ranch High School mens varsity water polo team will take on University City High on Oct. 28 and La Jolla High on Oct. 29 to round out its scheduled 2024 regular season. The Falcons were 6-5 overall and 3-1 in league play before playing Canyon Hills High on Oct. 24.
The Falcons defeated archrival Mira Mesa High 9-6 in an epic battle on Oct. 21. The Scripps Ranch players were extremely motivated since coach Brad Oestreich played for Scripps in his high school years and Mira Mesa is their hometown rival.
