Graduate awarded STAR Scholarship

Chapter RM, San Diego, of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, is proud to announce that Scripps Ranch High School (SRHS) 2026 graduate Natalia Da Silva has been awarded a 2026 STAR Scholarship, given for her excellence in leadership, academics, extracurricular activities, community service and potential for future success.

Da Silva was founder and president of the FALCONnections mental health and wellness club at SRHS.

The ASB chose her as commissioner for the Outreach Committee to raise awareness of community charitable opportunities for the school. With them, she spearheaded an effective student assembly, “Every 15 Minutes,” highlighting the dangers of drinking and driving, complete with video of a staged crash and courtroom scene.

Da Silva was chosen by the faculty to represent the student body in front of an assembly called “What I Wish My Parents Knew,” answering questions from the parents in the audience.

She has been on the lacrosse team for four years, and as a captain of the SRHS field hockey team, she led this year’s team to the CIF Finals.

Outside of school, she was president of the non-profit Threads of Hope and is a Lions Club volunteer.

Da Silva will attend Miami of Ohio University starting in the fall.

The P.E.O. Sisterhood has been helping girls and women achieve their educational dreams with scholarships, grants and loans for more than 155 years. To date, the organization has assisted more than 125,000 students with more than $435 million in educational aid.
