Erin Hanson hosts The Petite Show
Art lovers are invited to experience Erin Hanson’s newest collection of small works as it hosts Erin Hanson: The Petite Show, just in time for the holiday season. Visitors are invited to discover Hanson’s petite oil paintings at a holiday artist’s reception and celebration on Dec. 8 from 5 to 9 p.m. at The Erin Hanson Gallery, 9705 Carroll Centre Road.
Hanson has created a tradition of releasing a limited collection of petite works as a special holiday treat. Each painting is a masterpiece of color and light, with every brush stroke a deliberate expression by the artist. The paintings are sized between 8-inches by 10-inches, and 20-inches by 24-inches.
The Petite Show will be available for viewing exclusively at The Erin Hanson Gallery’s holiday artist’s reception on Dec. 8. Join Erin Hanson and fellow art aficionados for an evening of live music, holiday treats, wine tasting and contemporary art.
A life-long painter, Hanson began her study of oils as a young child. Her passion for natural beauty can be seen in her work as she transforms both familiar and rare vistas into stunning interpretations of bold color, playful rhythms and raw emotional impact. Her frequent forays into National Parks and other recesses of nature include backpacking expeditions, rock climbing and photo safaris. Hanson’s unique painting style has become known as Open Impressionism.
