Fun on the 4th

Fourth of July in Scripps Ranch is a unique community driven celebration of Americana. It begins at about 5:30 in the morning when Red Cedar and the business park come alive with people preparing to organize and participate in the Scripps Ranch Old Pros 10K race around Miramar Lake, the two-mile Fun Run (or walk), or one of three bike rides. The run, walk and rides begin about 7 a.m. after the singing of the National Anthem and the sound of the starters gun.
All participants finish at Hoyt Park where the Scripps Ranch Old Pros sponsor one of the best beer gardens in San Diego for the Run and Ride participants. The beer garden is where people get together with old friends and have a great time. The park also has a band playing music, food trucks providing eats, face painters for the kids, a silent auction for those looking for a deal, and a raffle for run or ride participants.
If you have not participated before, come join us. If you participated before, don’t break the tradition.
