Mackenzie Wrap at the Marketplace
Mackenzie Wrap, a 13-year-old singing sensation, will entertain the crowd in the Scripps Ranch Marketplace on Sunday evening, Aug. 27, from 5 to 7 p.m. Shoppers or anyone wanting to be entertained by this young wonder can enjoy a warm summer night and be amazed at this youngster’s range.

This is the fourth and final performance in a series of free live entertainment events open to the public each Sunday evening in August at the shopping center located at Scripps Poway Parkway and Spring Canyon Road. The performance will be held in the gazebo area between Starbucks and Luna Grill. SRHS football
The Scripps Ranch High School Falcons open the football season against Valhalla High School on Friday, Aug. 25 at Valhalla, 1725 Hillsdale Road in El Cajon. The Falcons Junior Varsity team plays at 4 p.m. The varsity game begins at 7 p.m. 

Keni Yarbro will play at Sanctuary Lounge on Friday, Aug. 25.

Keni Yarbro at Sanctuary Lounge
Keni Yarbro will play his acoustic guitar and sing at Sanctuary Lounge starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 25. He will be followed by DJ Gavin spinning tunes until 2 a.m.

Sanctuary Lounge is the place with fine wines, craft beers, a full bar, premium cigars and an outdoor patio. Sanctuary will be closed on Saturday, Aug. 26 for a private party.

Food trucks at Newtopia
Food trucks will be available for hungry customers at Newtopia Cyder this weekend. Here is the schedule:

Friday, Aug. 25, 3 p.m., The Carver, Coal and Barrel (barbecue)
Saturday, Aug. 26, 3 p.m., Pomodoro Rosso (Italian food)
Sunday, Aug. 27, 4 p.m., Papas Locas (Mexican cuisine)

Scripps Ranch Farmer’s Market
The Scripps Ranch Farmers Market offers a wide array of vendors each Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at 10380 Spring Canyon Road, in the Innovations Academy parking lot. 

Browse among the booths with a selection of food, services, produce and merchandise. Grab something to eat, sit down and enjoy live music in the food court. Very family-friendly. Visit srfm.org.  

Pet events at Unleashed
On Saturday, Aug. 26, two organizations will show pets that are looking to be adopted at Unleashed in Scripps Ranch. 

The Foundation for the Care of Indigent Animals will bring pets looking for homes to Unleashed from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Maltese Rescue California will bring adoptable dogs to Unleashed on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

Also on Saturday, Unleashed is offering Free Puppy Playtime to pet owners and their pups from 1 to 1:30 p.m. at the Scripps Ranch store. This is a puppy socialization time for puppies to play with one another. Pet owners must bring their pup’s vaccination records.

On Sunday, Aug 27, Unleashed is hosting an Affordable Vaccination Clinic for pet owners from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. State-licensed veterinarians will be on hand to help keep your pet healthy. Services provided will include vaccinations, microchipping, heartworm test and prevention, deworming, flea and tick control. All will be offered for a low cost.
