SCRIPPS RANCH WEEKEND
‘Legally Blonde The Musical’
The Scripps Ranch High School Falcon Playhouse is presenting “Legally Blonde The Musical.” This weekend’s performance will be Saturday, March 3 at 2 p.m. at the high school’s theater.
The production consists of about 100 students from who make up the cast, crew and band. The students have been rehearsing and working on this show since the beginning of December and look forward to opening the show so family, friends and community members can come out to celebrate and enjoy the show they have worked on.
The story is based on the novel “Legally Blonde” by Amanda Brown and the 2001 film of the same name. It tells the story of Elle Woods, a sorority girl who enrolls at Harvard Law School to win back her ex-boyfriend Warner. In her journey she discovers how her knowledge of the law can help others, and successfully defends exercise queen Brooke Wyndham in a murder trial. No one has faith in Elle Woods, but that doesn’t stop her as she surprises everyone when she defies expectations while staying true to herself.
