Children’s Discovery Museum holds Summer Concert Series

(Escondido) San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum (SDCDM) is hosting four evenings of family fun as part of the second annual Summer Concert Series featuring Hullabaloo, with the first event slated for Friday, June 16.

The series is set to bring the community together in the spirit of summer and raise funds to benefit the museum’s educational exhibits and programs. The SDCDM Summer Concert Series will feature live music from the local band Hullabaloo, food vendors, beer and wine for adults, an opportunity drawing, and craft projects in the Outdoor Art Studio.

Other dates in the series include July 7, July 2, and Aug. 4. The events will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on those select Fridays.

The series is free with museum admission ($8 per person; $5 active-duty military, veterans, and their families; $1 EBT cardholders; and children 12 months and under are free). The event will be held in the Children’s Discovery Garden at San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum, 320 N. Broadway, Escondido.

The San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum’s mission is to inspire children to learn about their world through exploration, imagination, and experimentation. SDCDM designs and fabricates its own exhibits with new exhibits added each month. New exhibits at the facility include Floating Objects, Nature Play, Water Wise Interactive and Living Water Tables, Children’s Discovery Garden, Kids Global Village, Reading Book Nook, Toddler Tide Pool, Base Camp, Our Town: Careers & Community, and Magnification Station. The Museum is open Mondays through Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Visit sdcdm.org.
