Crowd enjoys energetic concert

The Mighty Untouchables performed in front of an appreciative crowd on Sunday evening during the final summer concert of the 2017 Scripps Ranch Symphony in the Park Concert Series.

The band brought its “A” game to Hoyt Park, and they did not disappoint on a surprisingly muggy September night. The sound, beautifully accentuated by a magnificent three-piece horn section, was superb. Vocals were excellent as well.

A large number of audience members came forward to fill the dance area, and they danced often. They worked up a big sweat, no doubt.

The Mighty Untouchables promised a high-energy show with a multi-talented group of vocalists and musicians — and they delivered. This band was an excellent choice to top off the summer concert schedule.

The last concert for the 2017 Scripps Ranch Symphony in the Park Series will be the holiday concert scheduled for 5 p.m., Dec. 10 in Jerabek Park. It will feature holiday music, candy canes, light sticks, a fire truck and a visit from Santa. Visit symphonyinthepark.org.

Lead female vocalist Danielle Tucker seemed to have as much fun as the audience.
