Fruit tree expert scheduled for local garden club

The Scripps-Mesa Garden Club is fortunate to have a dedicated fruit tree expert whose knowledge and passion help gardeners grow healthy, productive fruit trees. He is scheduled to share his knowledge and experience. His presentation will be at the Jan. 27 meeting in the Scripps Ranch Library Community Room at 6 p.m. Tyler Trimble will empower both novice and experienced gardeners to nurture a wide variety of fruit trees and enjoy bountiful harvests year after year.
Trimble brings years of hands-on experience in orchard management, pest control, soil science and pruning techniques. With a background in horticulture in his own orchard and as a consultant, he stays updated on the latest research and best practices in fruit tree care.
Trimble will talk about:
Fruit tree selection: Giving advice on choosing varieties suited to local climate, soil and personal preferences.
Planting guidance: Providing step-by-step instructions for planting, spacing and initial care.
Pest and disease management: Identifying common issues and recommending organic or conventional solutions.
Harvesting tips: Trimble will share techniques for optimal fruit picking, storage and use.
Soil Testing and fertilization: He will help members understand soil health and develop fertilizing schedules tailored to their trees.

Residents of our community are welcome to attend the meeting, which will include a question-and-answer session. Light refreshments are provided.
