Organization announces November events
By Jaydee Schiller
The Scripps Ranch Civic Association 50Plus Committee is excited to announce two wonderful opportunities this November designed to support and inform our local senior community. Our mission is to help residents stay active, connected and informed about the many resources available for aging well right here in Scripps Ranch.
Senior Living Tour
Ridgeview Health Center; Wednesday, Nov. 13, 10 a.m. Join us for a Senior Living Tour at Ridgeview Health Center, a highly rated community offering assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing. Come see the campus, meet the staff and learn about the lifestyle and care options available. Breakfast will be served, and space is limited. RSVP early to reserve your spot.
Medicare 101
Overall changes coming this year; Nov. 19, 10-11:30 a.m., SRCA Community Center.
Lecture: Cybersecurity & Protecting Your Digital Life
Senior Tech Connect; Thursday, Nov. 21, 10 a.m., SRCA Community Center. In today’s connected world, cybersecurity is more important than ever – especially for older adults who are increasingly targeted by online scams. This informative lecture will share practical ways to safeguard your personal information, recognize phishing attempts and protect your devices from fraud.
Our speaker will simplify technology concepts and answer your questions in a relaxed, supportive setting. Whether you’re a frequent computer user or just learning, you’ll leave with simple, effective tips to stay safe online. These events are open to all. They’re excellent opportunities to learn, connect, and meet others who share your interest in staying active and engaged in our community.
As the new chair of the SRCA 50Plus Committee, I’m excited to continue growing our programs and resources for our 50Plus. If you’d like to attend, volunteer or suggest a future lecture topic, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’d love to hear from you.
Together, we can make Scripps Ranch an even better place to age well and live fully.
