Public invited to celebration
The Collins family of Scripps Ranch will hold a Chinese New Year celebration at their business, Collins Family Jewelers, 8220-A Mira Mesa Blvd., on Saturday, Jan. 25, from 9:15 to 10 a.m. The public is invited.
The Collins family provides this celebration annually for the community. This is the Year of the Rat.
The event will include traditional lion dancers, martial arts demonstrations and firecrackers. Bring dollars to feed lucky money envelopes to the dancing lions as a donation for the youth performance troupe.
