Testing options include calling your doctor or medical provider to schedule an appointment, signing up on the <a href=state website, or calling 2-1-1.

The County is opening additional COVID-19 testing sites for people who are not showing symptoms of the virus. A doctor’s referral is not required, but an appointment is necessary. To make an appointment, you should call 2-1-1.

People who are showing symptoms of COVID-19 are encouraged to contact their health care provider and arrange for testing. If you don’t have a health care provider, you should call 2-1-1 and ask for a public health nurse who will give you a referral.

COVID-19 cases in 92131
The County of San Diego reported cases of coronavirus in the 92131 ZIP Code area of Scripps Ranch remain at 15. Cases in Mira Mesa are up to 102. Poway has 37 cases. San Diego County reports the cases, broken down by residence listed for each patient.

Mother rhinos Asha and Tanaya gave birth to their calves a little more than two weeks apart. Both mom-and-calf pairs have enjoyed plenty of private time bonding before interacting with other wildlife on the savanna.</p> <p>Tanaya and her female calf, which has not yet been named, were the first to emerge from their private time together. Asha and her male calf, named Arjun, were next to venture out onto the savanna.</p> <p>“It’s great to see Asha and Tanaya introducing their calves to other wildlife for the first time,” said Jillian King, senior wildlife care specialist, San Diego Zoo Safari Park. “Everything is new to the calves right now, so it will be interesting to watch them explore. We will keep a watchful eye on them, and look forward to them meeting more of the wildlife on the savanna soon.”</p> <p>The greater one-horned rhinoceros was once widespread in Southeast Asia, but it is now found only in India and Nepal. It differs from other rhino species, as it has an armor-plated appearance – but that “armor” is actually a layer of skin that has many folds.
