A night full of gleeful children

A field full of gleeful children greeted Santa Claus as his arrival by fire truck highlighted the last part of the annual Scripps Ranch Holiday Concert, produced by Scripps Ranch Symphony in the Park on Sunday night in Jerabek Neighborhood Park.

Kids, most with glowing light sticks, surrounded Santa as he arrived. It seemed as if there were a sea of smiling faces as each child awaited his or her turn to speak to the main man from the North Pole.

Earlier, local Girl Scouts hosted activities in the park culminating with the 35th annual Scripps Ranch Tree Lighting.
