Back to School Part 1
Offices for each of the public schools in Scripps Ranch opened on Monday, Aug. 14.
The first day of classes for schools in the San Diego Unified School District is Monday, Aug. 28. Students will get a day off one week later for the traditional Labor Day holiday on Monday, Sept. 4, but will return for their second week of classes on Tuesday, Sept. 5.
Enrollment
Parents whose students have not yet been enrolled may begin the process by visiting bit.ly/2uGPwOa.
Transitional kindergarten
Children who will have their fifth birthday between September 2, 2016 and December 2, 2016 are eligible to enroll in a Transitional Kindergarten program. Transitional Kindergarten provides time for younger students to engage in early academic learning experiences designed to promote success in kindergarten and beyond.
Immunization
California Health Laws require that all students under age 18 years, pre-kindergarten through grade 12, be immunized against certain diseases unless they are exempt for medical reasons. At the time of registration, the school is required to have proof that your child has received all currently due immunizations. Visit bit.ly/2x2lbGq.
