Beautiful day, beautiful concert
You could say the band Siren’s Crush crushed it during its performance in Hoyt Park Sunday evening. A large crowd was in a happy but sometimes mellow mood in the warm sunshine as the audience lounged on lawn chairs and blankets.
A decent number of people kept the dancing area filled through most of the songs. While Siren’s Crush brought its style of high energy dance music to the bandstand, the warm air kept the crowd’s energy level calm and somewhat reserved. But once renewed following brief rests, enthusiastic members of the crowd continued with their dancing.

Band members earned their pay this evening as they kept playing popular covers and continued moving throughout the playlist.
Siren’s Crush is the second band to perform in the 2017 Scripps Ranch Symphony in the Park Series. The Bill Magee Blues Band is scheduled to bring its southern blues to Hoyt Park for the next free public concert at Hoyt Park starting at 6 p.m. on Aug. 13. Visit symphonyinthepark.org.
