Diego Ruiz has been part of the Scripps Ranch family for more than 20 years. He shares ownership of Chile Peppers Mexican Eatery with his three brothers. On July 3, he was in a scooter accident that resulted in a traumatic brain injury. A Labor Day weekend fundraiser is underway to go toward his recovery. All funds raised will be donated to support Diego and his family.
