Dry weather brings Red Flag Warning
A Red Flag Warning has been issued for critical fire weather conditions Monday, Oct. 15 and Tuesday, Oct. 16, with only deserts and the coast of San Diego County excluded, according to the National Weather Service.
Dry winds will quickly eliminate moisture brought in by this weekend’s occasional rains. San Diego County mountain areas and inland valleys will be susceptible to high fire danger over the next two days.
Winds will peak Monday, with gusts up to 60 mph possible in some rural areas. Winds will remain strong on Tuesday.
Minimum humidity will range between 5 and 10 percent away from coast.
A Red Flag Warning is in effect for most areas starting 3 a.m. Monday. Exercise extreme caution outdoors.
