FCIA event draws animal-lovers

DeDe, a 4-year-old Manchester terrier/Chihuahua mix, was one of the friendly pets looking for a home as the Foundation for the Care of Indigent Animals displayed some of its animals up for adoption.

FCIA event draws animal-lovers

The Foundation for the Care of Indigent Animals (FCIA), a nonprofit organization in San Diego County, displayed a number of adoptable canines in front of the Unleashed pet supply store at Scripps Ranch Marketplace, 10625 Scripps Poway Parkway.

Enthusiastic dog-lovers gave the pets lots of attention in front of the Scripps Ranch Unleashed store.

The effort drew a steady stream of animal lovers who gave the pets lots of attention. Unleashed hosted the effort by FCIA on June 24 in hopes that some of the animals would find permanent owners with good homes for them.

FCIA takes in small adoptable dogs in need of care that would have otherwise been euthanized. The organization provides these dogs medical care and foster homes until they are adopted. Visit fcianimals.org.
