Fourth of July Is underway
The Scripps Ranch Old Pros produced five athletic events involving thousands of participants, spectators and volunteers this morning and got them all started by 8:30 a.m. Thousands of runners spilled onto Red Cedar drive in front of Miramar Ranch Elementary School shortly after 7 a.m. for two running races. Bike riders started the first of three scheduled cycling events at the intersection of Hibert Street and Scripps Ranch Boulevard at the same time. All races end at Hoyt Park where festivities are underway including booths, jumpies for kids and a beer garden for adult race participants.
