Girl Scouts earn New Cuisines badge
Girl Scout Troop 8837, all seventh graders from Marshall Middle School, enjoyed a hands-on culinary tour to learn about foods from around the world throughout history. These Cadettes cooked together, discussed the origins of their dishes and sampled their creations. The meeting culminated in the construction of a recipe book for each girl to keep.
The members of Troop 8837, co-led by Jen Krebs and JoAnne Bernabe, are celebrating their eighth year together with a few of the girls from the original kindergarten troop.
