Vigil set tonight for missing man
A candle light vigil of hope is scheduled for missing Scripps Ranch man Taiheng Sun tonight, Wednesday, June 28, starting at 7:30 p.m. in West Sycamore Park, where Sun was last spotted. The public is invited to attend to show support for the family.

Sun was last seen by his family on June 15 in his home on Maple Grove Lane near Sycamore Trail Road. A surveillance video from a camera atop a utility pole shows Sun wearing a blue shirt, a dark blue hat, dark gray pants and carrying a white jacket, walking toward West Sycamore Park on the day he was reported missing, entering the park in the morning.

Police describe Sun as an Asian male, 85 years of age, 5-feet-6-inches tall, weighing 140 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. Sun suffers from Alzheimer's and speaks little English. Police ask anyone with information to call them at (619) 531-2000.

Leave something behind at the fair?
Any visitor to this year's San Diego County Fair who lost an item may retrieve it from the fair's Lost & Found. Now is the time to call before the fair ends on July 4. After that time, the staff is significantly reduced and it is much more difficult to retrieve lost items. Call Guest Services at (858) 794-1124 for assistance.

So far, the fair's Lost & Found holds a microwave; five pieces of luggage; three large strollers including a double; six single baby shoes; a basketball; two walking canes; an umbrella; boxes of clothing and boxes of hats; 47 pair of glasses; 33 sets of keys; and 63 credit cards. The list keeps growing as attendance numbers climbed past one million. The Fair opened on June 2 and runs through Tuesday, July 4. Visit
