The Scripps Ranch Fire Safe Council is proud to announce the 18th Play to Protect Golf Tournament, taking place on Saturday, Oct. 18, at Oaks North Golf Course in Rancho Bernardo. Tee times begin at 9 a.m.
Now in its 18th year, Play to Protect has become a signature community event, bringing neighbors, local businesses and first responders together in support of wildfire preparedness and safety.
“Proceeds from the tournament directly support community education, fuel reduction projects, help with obtaining home risk assessments and other initiatives that reduce wildfire danger while protecting lives and property in Scripps Ranch. Wildfire is a year-round threat in Southern California, and our council works tirelessly to provide resources and education to help families stay prepared,” said Kristi Rayder, Fire Safe Council president. “The golf tournament is a chance for the community to come together, enjoy a great day on the course and make a lasting impact on our neighborhood’s safety.”
The day will feature 18 holes of golf, opportunity drawings and a celebratory awards lunch. Golfers may register as individuals or bring a team.
